Last week saw one of the biggest buzz buildups surround a game in history as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launched today. While debates, reviews, and pwning videos flood the internet this week surrounding the first-person shooter, another game is getting ready to launch next week. Want a cool idea on how to recycle those old tires that are just lying around in the backyard or the vacant lot? If you have three months, lots of patience and talent, you might be able to do what Korean artist Yong Ho Ji has done. Pictured above is a lion sculpture that Ji created. It uses the rubber from old tires as its medium and it took him three months to complete.

He starts out with by welding an iron skeleton, around which boards are nailed and potting soil of all things is used to create the base of the animal. Yi then goes directly to nature to get inspiration, as he takes castings of dead animals to make sure the proportions are correct. W

Printing company RR Donnelley said today it has acquired Journalism Online, a company aimed at helping news papers monetize their web content.

Financial terms of the deal were not released.

Three veteran media executives are behind Journalism Online including Steven Brill, founder of Court TV, Gordon Crovitz, a former publisher of The Wall Street Journal, and Leo Hindery, a former chief executive of ATT Broadband. The previous arrays were 19 inches in diameter, about 5 inches thick, and could be packed with eight, 12 or 16 radios. The new models come in either 13- or 17-inch diameters, and are just 3 inches thick.

The smaller unit, the XR-4000 models, can be fitted with four or eight radios, each one delivering either 300Mbps or, with support for 3 MIMO data streams, 450Mbps. The four-radio models support up to 320 users; the eight-radio unites up to 640.
