If you are keeping a watchful eye on you will find that Palm no longer exists having been out by HP last year. It is also possible that you have known that recently Palm has introduced two different smartphones, which are named Pre and Pre2. Now that HP has occupied in this field, it neither means that both of these two smartphones will completely become extinct, nor does it mean that they will be supported form the popular tech company.
As a matter of fact, it has just been known today that the Palm Pre 2 found on Verizon Wireless has received the webOS 2.1 update.

The old adage says “a picture is worth a thousand words,” but just exactly which words is the question. While facial recognition and GPS-enabled cameras have made tagging digital snapshots with names and locations much easier, a team of students from Duke University and the University of South Carolina has developed a smartphone app called TagSense that takes advantage of the range of multiple sensors on a mobile phone to automatically apply a greater variety of tags to photos.
Looking to make it easier for people to search and retrieve specific photos from their ever-growing digital albums, the team set about creating an app that takes advantage of not just a smartphone’s GPS, but also its accelerometer, light sensor and microphone to provide additional details about a given photo.

If youve seen one unboxing video, then youve seen well.Unboxing videos are a great first look at a device but Toshiba is stepping it up with their latest Sneak Peek. I saw this first on my twitter timeline and after a few dozen RTs I figured it was worth a look. The video steps out of the normal boundaries of unboxing and adds some serious creativity. Even though The actual device is not even shown in the video, its definitely worth two minutes of your life. The Thrive is Toshibas first Android tablet, and it has a laundry list of great features and specifications and is of course powered by Nvidias Tegra 2.

The second beta of Apple’s iOS 5.0 mobile operating system began making its way to developers on Friday, revealing cosmetic changes to certain lock-screen notifications, a slide away keyboard in iMessage, and other tweaks.
New Lock-Screen Alert Style
As previously discussed, users of iOS 5.0 this fall will be able to select between two distinct styles of notifications: traditional “Alert” notifications that overlay the screen (as they do in iOS 4.0) and require the user to dismiss them, and new “Banner” notifications that appear subtly at the top of the screen for a few seconds before rolling out of view and into the Notifications pull-down without any interaction.
